Principal's Message

Dear parents, staff and students,

Firstly, I would like to welcome all our parents, students and teachers to the 2017 schooling year at Sirius College. I wish everybody a happy, healthy and fruitful academic year. Also, I sincerely thank our parents for believing in us and entrusting their beloved children to us. We try our best to fulfil our parents’ expectations from Sirius College.

We have already completed week 4 and students are well adapted to their new study routines. It is very important that students have an organised daily routine to maintain a successful academic, social and behavioural performance. Education is a long journey and every little step counts. Listen to your teachers in class carefully, study with discipline, do your homework on time. These little steps will take you far on your educational journey. Therefore I would highly encourage parents to follow up on their child’s academic and behavioural progress on SEQTA closely, and make sure that students have a set after-school study timetable, healthy diet, enough physical activity and sleep at night.

Finally, I would like to bring your attention to parent-school partnership. One of the most important components of a school’s success is having a healthy and supportive communication between families and the school. This positive relationship is one of the key factors that carry students to great achievements. I believe together we will be able to improve our students’ performance. I will kindly ask the caregivers to give value this matter and stay connected with the school for the sake of your children.

I would like to thank the parents who attended our Meet the Teacher program. Last but not least, I am excited to invite all parents to The Twilight family cinema Night which will be held on Friday the 10th of March at 7.00pm at our school.

I wish everyone a very successful year, full of joy and happiness.

Deniz Yildirim,
Principal
